This update comes from the latest round of playtest feedback. Every change below was requested by a tester.

Japanese

  • The game is now fully playable in Japanese. Select it in the settings menu.
  • The Steam store page is also fully available in Japanese.

Machines now explain themselves

  • Hovering a machine shows what it does, what it will not accept, and what it produces. This was the most requested addition in the playtest, and the main reason testers stalled on the Ramen level.
  • Hovering a placed machine shows its name.
  • Error indicators now state what is wrong, instead of only that something is wrong.
  • Machines now distinguish waiting for ingredients from a blocked output.
  • The open-recipe keybinding is surfaced in-game.
  • Recipe hints have been improved.
  • Machine tooltips have been restyled for legibility, and appear faster.

The tutorial is now optional

  • You are asked at the start whether you want to play the tutorial, and a Skip button is available on the first screen.
  • The level-start prompt can now be held with left click as well as E.
  • Tutorial step text no longer stays on screen over the settings menu.

Controls

  • Placed machines can now be moved, instead of deleted and placed again.
  • Rotation no longer accumulates — the reset now snaps directly instead of replaying every turn.
  • Placing belts at right angles is smoother, and ⤵ / ⤴ shapes no longer require three tiles.

Screen

  • The bottom menu no longer covers the play area.
  • Corrected environment art on the second level.

Further camera options. Placing belts over existing ones to change their direction. A controls reference you can check at any time. And more depth and longer-term goals for players who want a deeper optimisation challenge.

The playtest is free and open — request access from this page. If you play, the feedback survey is the most useful thing you can send.

Most of you arrived in the last two weeks, and more than a thousand of you are already playing the playtest and telling me what to fix. That is a very different place from where this started. Fixed · The tutorial's final step highlighted conveyors pointing toward the wrong place. · Clicks on the journal screen passed through to the game behind it. · Machines stopped delivering dishes after their output conveyor was deleted. The playtest is free and open — request access from this page. If you play, the feedback survey is the…Game update9 Aug 2026Playtest update — the feedback build is liveThe changes from the last post are now in the build. This update comes directly from the first round of playtest feedback — nearly every item below was requested by a tester. Fixed · The pause menu no longer renders beneath the goal panel at level start. · Right-clicking during machine placement now cancels the placement without deleting the machine beneath the cursor. Controls · Machine catego…
