Hello, samurais!

Most of our work for 0.3.7 focused on immersion, performance, and quality-of-life improvements.

Dungeon maps no longer show everything from the start, the bow has three new skills, and busy rooms received a performance pass. We also improved coating feedback and combat presentation, while fixing problems that could get in the way during a run.

The dungeon keeps its secrets

The map reveals only what your character can see. Places you have already explored stay mapped, while spaces and enemies beyond walls remain hidden.

More reasons to keep the bow drawn

Rapid Shooting keeps a fast sequence of arrows on one dangerous target. Arrow Shower marks an area and rains arrows into a group. Stepback Arrow combines a retreating dodge with a powerful shot when an enemy closes in.

These skills join the normal and charged attacks from 0.3.6, adding choices after the opening arrow and giving bow users more room to stay at range.

Busy fights should feel busy for the right reasons

Fights are clearer. Coated katana and bow hits now have stronger fire, wind, and thunder feedback. Critical finishes can leave more prominent wounds on dismemberable humanoid enemies.

Starting a run should also be less confusing. Difficulty selection is clearer, switching between controller and mouse and keyboard works better, and new prompts explain your starting actions. Other fixes address saves, retries, boss checkpoints, scene transitions, bow targeting, dungeon navigation, HUD layout, defeated enemies, and post-boss progression.

Thank you, samurais

Thank you for playing and sending feedback. Your feedback keeps helping us see what works and what gets in the way.

When you play version 0.3.7, let us know how the new dungeon visibility, bow skills, combat feedback, and busy encounters feel on your machine.

We hope you enjoy version 0.3.7.
