The demo is live

Popcorn & Premieren now has a free demo on Steam. It covers the first three days of your opening week: you take over a closed neighborhood cinema, schedule the first screenings and find out on Thursday morning what the audience thinks of you.

What's in the demo

  • The first three days of your opening week, from the first ticket to Thursday morning
  • The real weekly planner: runtimes, cleaning breaks, age ratings and contracts on one time grid
  • The film market with a selection of the 200 original parody films, each with its own poster, critics score and audience rating
  • Staff, snacks, projection and cleaning – and an audience that laughs, gasps and boos
  • Both interface looks, Classic and Neon

What the full game adds

The road to a seven-screen multiplex, the large-format wing, your own film studio, the complete film market with all 200 titles and the full campaign. The full game releases on September 17, 2026.

Tell us what worked

Popcorn & Premieren is a one-person project. If the demo makes you want to run a cinema of your own, wishlist the game and tell us in the community hub what you liked and what we should change. Both help more than you might think.

Enjoy the show!

A day at the cinema begins long before the first film starts. You decide which films to show, plan your screenings and try to attract the right audience for each movie. Once the doors open, visitors begin to fill the foyer – and every screening develops its own rhythm. Premieres are especially exciting. They can bring extra attention,…Community26 Aug 2026Jodelsoft in SpotlightHello, fellow fans of business simulation games, I’m a 50-year-old family man who grew up playing classics like Mad TV , Oil Imperium and The Patrician . I work full-time in field sales. About a year ago, I started learning to program, spending almost all of my free time on it. My first Steam game, Popcorn & Premieren , is now nearly finished. I hope you’ll have as much fun playing it as I’ve h…
