Reverting to the old steam assets

Alright so good news, the update is essentially done(the main part at least) but I'm just working on extra stuff which is definetly going to take a while.

Conflicted news, I'm actually thinking about making a newer rerelease for the game, like a World Zero Gold or something(not the final title) with alot more content which is going to take at least a year at this rate if going notot maybe more.

No, Blood and Steel will still be in the free build(this one) I promised it to be free and I'm going to deliver on that but any subsiquent updates will be in the paid version.

However that's not the part I'm worried about(mostly at least), what I'm worried about is reverting back to the original steam asset store art. I can't use the same artwork for the library art and such but with a different title. And due to the tractaction of my last update that being about the store page assets, it seems to be well liked and it kinda feels like a scummy move to take it away.

So I'm left with 2 options:

  1. attempt to top the artwork in the rerelease version

  2. use the old assets cause that's what it was meant for and reuse the current one for the new release

I don't think I can top my current art cause I feel it perfectly encapsulates the style and feel of the game.

So what do you guys think?

Also to not make it look I've been doing nothing this whole time, here's some screenshots of the newer area.

Or at least soon.Community5 Aug 2025Updated the Steam and Library Page!No other updates for other than i finished an area (and worked on one battle theme on my own yipee!) but I decided to update the steam page store and library artworks since they look really dated No other updates from me other than I'm alive and still working on the update when I can and I apologize for taking so long.Community27 May 2025Developer update on Blood and SteelI have severely underestimated how long battlebacks take to draw.
