Chapter 3: Fire and Thorns is a brand-new story chapter, introducing a new crew character and gameplay mechanics, opening your forge’s garden, and adding two new sword part sets. In Chapter 3, you face new challenges to reclaim Astrid from her fate, while famine and riots follow in the wake of the warehouse fire. Unravel the dark secrets of the Ashen Hand’s conspiracy and confront one of the Masked King’s right-hand men.
A new character will join your crew: Ezrae the Fighter. Her strength and experience were born from many a duel in the arena and from hunts in the wasteland surrounding Eren Keep. Beyond making swords that meet your customers’ requirements, Ezrae teaches you to make swords effective against specific kinds of foes.
This update introduces the compendium, an encyclopedia of foes found in the world of Bladesong. Gather clues and experiment with swords to exploit these foes’ weaknesses, lead your fighter to victory and find loot unique to these enemies.
Some weaknesses require more than just physical perfection. Step into the forge’s garden to grow plants, harvest ingredients and apply recipes to craft the blade that will grant victory.
Two brand-new sword part sets are now added into the mix: A History of the World in Seven Swords, Vol. 2 contains parts inspired by Bronze Age swords, while Tribute to Effort is a new set based on the Crows’ survival in the wasteland, complete with a tasty grip wrap and a new cloth material.
Further quality of life updates include:
An option for the amount of Story Camera Movement, to prevent motion sickness in painted environments.
Better inventory filtering, to find your way around a growing number of items.
Improved performance with a focus on making Bladesong run better on lower-end hardware.
