Hi everyone 👋
In this community update, we wanted to showcase one of the many locations you'll visit while exploring the mysterious countryside - The Scrapyard. Filled with metal debris and rusty skeletons of old vehicles that used to roam the place, the place is owned by Red.
Red is the host of The Scrapyard. He worked for the military during 1970s but was eventually dismissed after becoming involved questionable activities. After that, he took on whatever manual labor jobs he could find around the region and developed a reputation for scavenging abandoned materials—old metal, railway parts, and other scrap—which he traded through his junkyard business.
Red is among the very few people capable of navigating the forest routes leading to the western logistics center. Before the player's arrival in the Valley, he was known for transporting hard-to-obtain goods through these dangerous paths. Here he is, in all the cut-out png glory!
Completing missions will reward you with money but you can also earn other type of currency - scrap. Exploring the countryside, players will bump into different kinds of out-of-service equipment that can be recycled into scrap in Red's Scrapyard. See that big 'sewing machine' steel monster? Park at the red spot and turn your findings into value. Earned scrap can then be used to upgrade your pickup truck.
The countryside life thrives as some fierce, free-range chickens join sheep and boars as proud residents of nearby farms, yards and pastures! Feel like the delivery driver of the month? Try running them over!
Last month, together with our great Publisher Pocketpair, we announced that Truckful will be arriving to both Playstation 4 and Playstation 5 this year! We're yet to share the exact release date so stay tuned as summer is just getting started! https://www.gematsu.com/2026/05/truckful-adds-ps5-ps4-versions
