Dear Guests,
Thanks for playing Dice Tavern since the full release, and for all your feedback!
As more guests have started taking on the tavern and experimenting with different builds, we’ve received plenty of feedback on characters, dice, Synergies, and the leaderboard. After reviewing both gameplay data and player feedback, we’ve made several balance changes.
The goal is to give more builds a chance to shine and make the choices and challenges throughout the game feel more balanced. Here’s what’s changed:
1. The Farmer’s skill felt a little weaker compared to other characters. Starting Gold: +200 → +300.
2. The Lorn Die’s Synergy path felt too weak, so we’ve buffed the Lone King Synergy. Chosen Scoring Face Score: 200 → 300.
3. The Patina Sticker was too weak and difficult to max out. Starting Bonus: +10 → +20. Maximum Loss: +300 → +200.
1. The unlock requirement for the Antioch Die through Sacred Trinity has been changed to: Lock exactly three 3s a total of 33 times. Rolls with four or more 3s do not count.
2. The Scrap Dealer’s price didn’t quite match its versatility. Price: 220 → 280.
3. Simmer triggering Hot Dice by sending it to the pot at no cost was not intended. Simmer and Serve have been adjusted so that each can only be triggered once per roll, and they can no longer both be triggered during the same turn.
1. Added an “Upload to Leaderboard” toggle, allowing you to choose whether to upload your records and participate in the leaderboard.
2. Added character-specific rankings to the clear-time leaderboard.
3. Build Cards now show the Coatings applied to each die face.
4. To keep the leaderboard fair and legitimate, we’ve added cheat and save scumming detection. Runs detected using either method will not be added to the leaderboard.
1. Fixed an issue where the leaderboard could display “Unknown” when loading failed.
2. Fixed an issue where dice could occasionally clip through other objects.
3. Fixed an issue where incorrectly detected controllers could cause the controller UI to appear.
4. Fixed an issue where the Blinded by Greed achievement could not be unlocked.
5. Fixed an issue where the game could freeze when the Lone King Synergy interacted with the debuff that seals your highest-scoring numbers.
1. Improved the Coppered Sticker die selection prompt. When a Coppered face prevents a die from being locked, the game now displays “Coppered faces do not count toward any scoring combinations” instead of the generic “Invalid Combination” message.
2. Reduced the visual intensity of the Hot Dice animation.
3. Improved the reflective effects on coated die faces and the Angel Triple Dice.
4. The Joker’s coin-flipping animation will now remain visible even when “Skip Scoring Animations” is enabled.
Thanks again for all your support, feedback, and patience with Dice Tavern.
We know balance is something that takes time to get right.
We’ll continue keeping an eye on how the game is being played and listening closely to your feedback.
If these changes have affected a build or playstyle you enjoy, we’d love to hear what you think.
We’ll keep working to give every die in the tavern a chance to shine.
🍻Good luck with your rolls, and see you at the tavern!
