MARROWLIGHT — Demo at Steam Next Fest, Full Release October 29

It did not come with an army. It was the army.

Nine hundred years ago, something came up out of the deep places under Vaskaryn. Every corpse it touched stood up wearing its will. Eleven kingdoms fell learning it could not be killed, because there was nothing there to kill.

So it was bound instead — with seven chains, and seven women shackled to them, each holding one part of the thing down beneath the bedrock.

They did not die. That was the cruelty nobody accounted for.

Playable demo — Steam Next Fest, October 19–26, 2026
Full release — October 29, 2026

You are the last Warden

It is not a heroic office. Wardens walk the seal-sites and check the chains, and when an anchor finally breaks after nine centuries alone in the dark, the Warden kills her and another woman is found to take her place.

The seal is failing at every point at once. Six women remain.

Every character you unlock is someone you were sent to kill.

What you're getting

  • Action roguelite combat. Hundreds of enemies on screen, weapons that evolve as you level, runs of 15 to 30 minutes.
  • Six stages — a cursed village glade, a city that burned for six years, a frozen siege plain, a tidal shelf of drowned shrines, a library grown into raw rock, and the pit itself.
  • Seven playable characters, six of them unlocked by choosing not to kill them.
  • A cinematic for every anchor you free, replayable from an in-game gallery.
  • Three endings. One of them is hidden.

The demo

The Next Fest build covers the first stage — Hollowmere Glade — through to the vault door beneath the chapel, and the woman waiting behind it. Full weapon pool, the complete horde escalation curve, and the opening cinematic.

Wishlist now so you don't miss the demo going live on October 19.
