TASMON: Taskbar Monsters · published · build 24705336

Thank you so much for playing TASMON: Taskbar Monsters, and a huge thank-you to everyone who sent in bug reports!
Thanks to all of you, we passed 6,000 downloads within 24 hours of release!! We're genuinely moved that so many of you are enjoying the game.
We're taking the bugs you've reported seriously and are looking into some form of compensation — please bear with us a little longer.
■ New
- Clicking a Tasmon in the Encyclopedia now opens its Evolution Line: the base form, first evolution and second evolution shown side by side with their names. Stages you haven't reached yet appear as silhouettes, and evolving records the exact form your Tasmon became
- The unlock requirements for Keystone Spheres were hard to tell at a glance, so on the Sphere Board, hovering now lights up a Keystone and the Special Spheres required to unlock it in cyan as one matching set. Along with this adjustment, any points you had already spent on the Sphere Board are automatically refunded
- Reworked the Sphere Board's Auto-Assign: it now routes straight to your job sector's Keystone Sphere (Special Spheres first, then the Keystone), and once the Keystone is taken you choose the policy for the rest
- Purchasing paid content now automatically delivers an in-game mail explaining how to claim it (check the Mail tab)
■ Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where launching the app multiple times would leave old windows running in the background instead of closing, causing several entries for the game to pile up in the Alt+Tab switcher. Launching the app again now just brings the existing window to the front instead of opening a new one
- Fixed an issue where, after opening the battle result/history screen, the close button could stop working or the screen could freeze while scrolling
- Fixed an issue where manually clicking a sphere node while the "Auto-Assign" preview was showing could leave the Sphere Board stuck on screen
- Fixed an issue where mission reward buttons could become unclickable
- Fixed an issue where a favorited companion sent out on an expedition could still be added into the party from the Favorites list, and since swapping party members fully heals the party, this was effectively an infinite-healing exploit
- Fixed an issue where an evolved Tasmon could end up with the exact same name as a different, existing Tasmon. Evolved forms now get their own dedicated names (e.g. Flamewolf → Igniswolf → Infernowolf)
- Fixed an issue where farming a difficulty's final boss (e.g. Normal 10-10) with "Auto-farm cleared act bosses with keys" enabled would push you back to the previous stage (10-9) after every kill instead of looping in place. It now stays put and just spends a key each round, like every other act boss
- Fixed an issue where the displayed unlock requirement for Nightmare difficulty didn't match the actual requirement
- Fixed an issue where the suggested gear level shown for treasure chest drops didn't match the actual value
- Fixed the expedition party slots granted on clearing a difficulty so it now correctly adds one full party (3 members), matching what the notification says
- Fixed an error in the displayed egg drop probability so it now correctly matches how eggs actually drop
- Fixed text shown when the Daily Boss appears that no longer matched the actual reward roll (a random pick between a coin, an egg, gear, or an evolution stone — coin being only one option). It now reads "win for a chance at a rare reward," matching what actually happens
- Fixed a number of places where Japanese text was still showing in the English build (unique gear flavor text, the Crystal of Wisdom and Act Boss Key descriptions, the evolution screen's explanation, the etching appearance-rate line, and more). Grade labels now also read naturally in English
- Fixed a critical issue where defeating the Daily Boss while the Inventory window was open could crash the game to an error screen if the drop was gear — consuming your attempt without delivering the reward. Rewards are now also saved the moment they're decided, so even if a display error ever occurs after a victory, nothing is lost
- Fixed an issue where pressing "Challenge the Daily Boss" within about half a second of clearing a wave could let the next wave's spawn overwrite the Daily Boss, consuming your attempt without a fight
■ UI & Usability
- Removed the "Recommended" stage highlight from the map screen (we'd like players to find their own best farming stage through experimentation)
- You can now remove a single Tasmon from your party: right-click a party slot, or drag it onto the Tasmon list (or the favorites shortlist). Previously you could only swap one for another or clear the whole party, so running a 2-member team wasn't possible
Thank you for playing TASMON: Taskbar Monsters! We'll keep working on improvements.
