This update has taken a bit longer than usual, so I should explain the reasons. On one hand, production time has been squeezed — over the past two months, I could only work on it in the evenings.
On the other hand, the content is more extensive than before. This time, I plan to update six chapters of the story directly (previously, it was one or two chapters per update).
Also, the final design for the new character’s model has gone through several changes. I wanted to give the new character a fuller figure, while still keeping the overall body proportions reasonable and maintaining a feminine appeal — which touches on the realm of artistic aesthetics. It honestly pushed the limits of my personal ability, so I went through multiple revisions for comparison.
The current final version is one I’m fairly satisfied with (I took inspiration from the look of a certain 1980s Hollywood actress).
Besides that, I also added a maid outfit midway through.
Since the character Mier is tied to restaurant construction, adding a maid outfit scene made sense.
Having a character in a maid outfit standing in a restaurant setting — pretty reasonable, right? I think it looks great.
So, the animation work that was already done had to be reworked.
But I feel that adding some clothing actually improves the visual appeal compared to the original fully bare look.
In fact, animating with clothes on increases the technical difficulty quite a bit... but for the sake of aesthetics, it’s worth it.
Alright, so the update will be delayed a little further. Sorry, everyone — I really have been working hard on it. Please bear with me just a little longer.
Hand-drawn animation is truly, really tough. I’m kind of regretting not using Live2D...
