Time for your first steps on the Roads & Riches journey! Today, we're launching our first public playtest! This is a small preview of the main game, built to help us gather feedback and fix bugs - while also giving you a sense of what to expect from the full game!
Please note: as this is an early preview build of the game, things are likely to change during development. Saved games may behave strangely over time as we iterate!
The Roads & Riches Playtest lets you play the opening content of the main game, trading and exploring throughout the first major region, with multiplayer support!
You'll be able to customize and expand your caravan, build longer-lasting relationships with patrons, discover unique treasures, and more! Good luck with your bustling business!
There's also an ever-present Bug-Report keybind that you should press early and often, as we'll get a snapshot of the current session, which is invaluable when fixing issues!
We're sending out an initial wave of invites to people who have signed up for the playtest on Steam! If you've been invited, you'll also be able to invite up to 3 of your friends!
We'll be sending out more and more invites over the next weeks so that we have new playtesters as we fix bugs and make improvements.
If you want to skip the line, we have extra playtest keys available on our Discord. We'll be actively chatting, iterating on builds, and collecting feedback as we hear it!
On the main menu, there's a Survey button available! It's quick - with some optional fields if you'd like to go into detail after checking out the playtest.
Whether its via Discord, the survey, or other creative ways - we'd love to hear about your experience playing the game! It's super helpful for us moving forward to know about bugs, how something made you feel, how something hit or missed your expectations, and any other details you feel like sharing!
The Roads & Riches Demo will also be releasing soon, once we've iterated and made improvements from the playtests!
