It’s been two days since the Early Access launch. Thank you for all your feedback! In response, I’ve released update 0.5.1, which addresses many of the issues you’ve reported.
Fixed an issue where historical routes referencing aircraft that had been sold, returned to their lessor, or removed could prevent saving.
Fixed an issue where incorrect file timestamps could cause a newly created autosave to be deleted during cleanup.
Fixed an issue where loading or migrating a renamed save copy could overwrite another save.
Fixed an issue where errors in UI or achievement notifications could report a save as failed even though it had been saved successfully.
Fixed issues that could prevent players from entering the game after returning to the main menu and rejoining, or accepting repeated invitations.
Fixed an issue where an outdated multiplayer state could overwrite a guest’s aircraft purchases, leases, route launches, return routes, or additional aircraft assignments.
Fixed multiplayer used-aircraft purchases not correctly using the selected listing’s price, age, and condition.
Improved error messages for certain Steam initialization failures.
Outstations already served by active routes can now serve as departure points for revenue-generating return flights and onward point-to-point services.
Added options to plan or view a return route, making it easier to arrange return flights for existing one-way routes.
New routes default to round-trip operation using the same aircraft in both directions. One-way operation remains available.
Added a toggle to link frequencies between paired outbound and return routes.
Fixed automatic frequency reductions incorrectly assessing round-trip aircraft rotations and cutting more flights than necessary.
Added support for assigning additional aircraft to an existing route, with one-way or round-trip options, frequency settings, and financial forecasts.
Multiple aircraft serving the same market share passenger demand, while each aircraft is checked separately against scheduling and operating constraints.
Fixed duplicate capacity in the same market potentially being counted more than once toward network size, profitable markets, and related objectives.
Route distance is now displayed as soon as both airports are selected, even without an aircraft capable of flying the route.
Added an “Only airports within range” filter to the destination selector. Results update when the departure airport or selected aircraft changes.
Fixed newly purchased aircraft not appearing promptly in the route planner’s aircraft list and aircraft-type filters.
Fixed different aircraft of the same model incorrectly sharing forecast results.
Candidate route profit and profit margin now use different colors for positive and negative values.
New leases are charged at the contracted amount, removing the blanket cap based on a percentage of the aircraft’s purchase price.
Fixed aircraft potentially aging more than once when assigned to multiple routes.
Adjusted local passenger demand between airports so that a large city no longer overwhelms the market constraints of a small destination.
Removed the unconditional baseline of 1,600 passengers per month for very small markets, and updated route forecasts and frequency recommendations accordingly.
Adjusted long-term AI airline valuations to reduce continuous compound growth in market capitalization without corresponding growth in operations.
Fixed AI reputation attacks deducting company reputation repeatedly based on the number of routes.
Fixed positive or negative events potentially changing reputation in the wrong direction near its upper or lower limits.
Public service subsidies now assess actual passenger flights operated, fixing cases where suspended services or merely scheduled flights counted toward requirements.
Fixed the flight-record display limit affecting public service contract fulfillment statistics.
Reduced the Grand Caravan EX’s base purchase price from $6.3 million to $3.3 million, and its base monthly rate for new leases from $56,000 to $30,000.
Fixed aircraft purchases potentially reusing tail numbers after aircraft sales, and corrected duplicate tail numbers in existing saves.
Standardized the display of custom aircraft names and tail numbers, and prevented duplicate custom names within the current fleet.
The fleet page now always displays flight hours logged this month, scheduled hours, remaining scheduling capacity, and utilization.
Remaining scheduling capacity is calculated from the full month’s schedule, including positioning flights. Aircraft rotation capacity is now shown near the frequency controls.
Fixed applying or refreshing base catering contracts overwriting manually configured meals, service modes, and meal rotations for individual cabin classes.
Changing catering suppliers now preserves selected meals that remain available, along with each cabin class’s service mode.
Fixed some explicitly selected cabin catering settings being treated as defaults and overwritten after saving and loading.
Corrected five catering package image assignments.
Reduced the Chapter 14 hiring objective from 35 employees to 32 to match the hiring cap, while preserving its reward and reward-claim status.
Adjusted airport base investment costs.
Slot-tier progression now counts bases that are actually in operation. Purchasing an unused base no longer directly advances progression.
Cargo offers, contracts, and signing confirmations now show baseline monthly demand, contract duration, and where that demand applies.
Improved explanations of cargo contract fulfillment statistics and demand multipliers.
Added glossary explanations for corporate groups and subsidiaries, restructuring, ownership stakes, and synergy credits.
Optimized initialization and preloading in sandboxes with all airports enabled, reducing long pauses near the end of loading.
Reduced redundant airport state updates, slot report calculations, and sandbox configuration file reads.
Optimized candidate scoring and sorting for public service contracts during month-end processing, reducing pauses in large sandboxes.
Route recommendations and filtering now consistently spread calculations across frames and cancel outdated requests when filters change.
Optimized UI refreshes, aircraft image reuse, and calculations for hidden forecasts when changing route endpoints.
Fixed sandbox headquarters airports being reset when switching aircraft catalogs or reopening the editor.
Fixed invalid frame-rate settings causing the actual frame rate to differ from the displayed setting.
Added Space to pause or resume, and 1, 2, and 3 on both the main keyboard and numeric keypad to change game speed.
Adjusted navigation input for mouse-and-keyboard interfaces to prevent shared controller axes from causing unintended selection changes and scrolling.
The new-aircraft list now preserves its scroll position when refreshed due to price or finance staff efficiency changes.
Fixed airport selection controls repeatedly firing toggle events without a value change, causing unnecessary list rebuilds and layout conflicts.
Fixed wrapping, word breaks, and excessively small text in some German labels at low resolutions.
Added Traditional Chinese support.
Existing one-way routes will not automatically gain return services. Outbound and return routes in older saves retain independent frequencies by default; frequency linking can be enabled manually.
Existing leases are migrated under compatibility rules without recalculating historical financial results. Recorded Grand Caravan EX purchase costs and the accounting basis of existing contracts are preserved.
Existing airport bases and previously earned slot tiers are retained. Base price adjustments do not provide retroactive refunds.
Demand and valuation adjustments will affect future forecasts, revenue, and stock prices in existing saves. Also fixed several other issues that may not have been mentioned above.
