Welcome to Honoiro no Jikou.
This is a somewhat unconventional title. It is not strictly a traditional strategy game, nor is it purely a visual novel or character-raising game. Instead, it blends these elements together into a slower-paced experience that requires a bit of patience to get into.
1. Early Game: Understanding the World Through Story
You begin as a student at an agricultural university, experiencing campus days filled with youthful memories and emotional bonds. The early game is story-focused. Through the narrative, you gradually come to understand this world, the relationships between companies, and the circumstances of each character.
2. Free Roam Phase: Exploring Regions and Companies
After completing the opening story, you enter the free-roam area.
The map is divided into multiple regions, each containing different locations and companies.
3. Joining a Company: Reaching 30 Total Affection with Its Members
4. Main Ways to Increase Company Member Affection:
· Travel System: Battles or dialogue triggered during travel can increase affection.
· Facility Events: Visiting places such as cinemas and amusement parks can trigger events that increase affection.
5. Core Goal: Conquer All Regions, Defeat Every Company
After joining a company, you step into the turbulent business world. The final goal is clear:
The company you belong to must conquer every region and defeat all other companies.
6. Defeat Opponents, Recruit Members
When you defeat another company in battle, its members will join your team.
7. Companions and Growth
Your companions do not only appear in the story. They can accompany you in the free-roam map to train and grow stronger. Later, once their affection reaches 30, they can also join your company and become important allies in unifying the map.
8. Base Locations and Title System
Some company members trigger a title after reaching specific locations.
Titles enhance that character's attributes, such as Attack, Defense, HP, and more.
At the same time, each base location provides its own bonuses or rewards.
What Kind of Game Is This?
In short:
This is a slower, free-form game that requires you to find your own rhythm. You can experience campus youth, character bonds, company management, and faction expansion, and achieve unification through turn-based business strategy.
If you are expecting a fast-paced, linear, traditional JRPG-style experience, this game may feel "a little different."
But if you enjoy:
· Story-driven gameplay
· Multiple factions and relationships
· Company management and expansion
· Affection and character raising
· Turn-based strategy battles
· A slower pace with a clear long-term goal
Then Honoiro no Jikou might be the right game for you.
