The Cat Awareness Fest runs from August 7th to 17th, and we're so happy Abracademia gets to be part of it! After all, what's a wizard without their trusty feline companion by their side?
Whether they're curling up on your desk while you brew potions or judging your spellcasting from across the room, cats have always been a witch's best friend ,and this fest is here to celebrate that (while supporting cat adoption too š¾).
I think it's a good occasion to share with you a bit of Captain Pompon's backstory
Captain Pompon is the co-owner of the Cashmere Shop, its accountant, and the one who keeps the place running whenever Tulin has classes at the Abracademia. No one knows whether he's a magical creature, a young Cath Balug, or just a very smart cat. Then again, no one has ever found the courage to ask.
What every student does know is that Captain Pompon never gives credit, and sales are completely out of the question. If you want one of the curiosities he "found", you'll have to pay in hard cash, right down to the very last coin.
Fun Fact: Captain Pompon taught himself to count the day he realized his bowl of kibbles was smaller than usual
