Hello everyone!
Over the past months we've been carefully reading your feedback, watching gameplay videos, and discussing where we want Infect Cam to go in the long term.
Our goal isn't just to add more content—we want to make every moment of the game feel better. From movement and exploration to performance and mission design, we're rebuilding several core systems that will shape the future of Infect Cam.
Here's what we're currently working on.
Movement is receiving one of the biggest updates since launch.
We're redesigning traversal to make exploration smoother, faster, and more immersive. Instead of getting stuck on small obstacles or awkward terrain, you'll be able to naturally move through the environment.
Planned improvements include:
Mantling and climbing over obstacles
Smoother traversal across the environment
More responsive character movement
Improved first-person animations
Better interaction with the world
Whether you're escaping a horde or searching abandoned buildings, movement should feel much more natural.
Optimization is one of our highest priorities.
We've been rebuilding several gameplay systems with multiplayer performance in mind. Our goal is to support significantly larger zombie encounters while keeping gameplay smooth and responsive.
Some of our optimization work includes:
Smarter AI processing
Improved spawning systems
Better multiplayer synchronization
Reduced CPU overhead
General performance improvements across the game
The objective is simple: bigger battles, more zombies, and a smoother co-op experience.
We're also redesigning how missions are structured.
Rather than simply moving from one location to another, missions will encourage exploration, teamwork, and adapting to changing situations.
Expect:
More handcrafted objectives
Better mission variety
Improved exploration flow
More interesting locations
Stronger replayability
Every mission should feel like a unique operation instead of repeating the same gameplay loop.
We're investing heavily in the overall atmosphere of Infect Cam.
The world should feel abandoned, mysterious, and unpredictable. Forests, roads, abandoned structures, weather, lighting, and environmental storytelling are all being improved to create a stronger sense of tension.
Exploration should feel rewarding—even when nothing is chasing you.
Our goal is to make every location memorable while preserving the bodycam horror experience that defines Infect Cam.
This update represents much more than new features.
We're improving the core foundations of Infect Cam to create a better long-term experience for both solo players and co-op teams.
As always, thank you for your patience, your feedback, and your continued support. We'll continue sharing our progress as development moves forward.
See you out there.
