What's on the Test Floor
This is closed pre-alpha; the rough edges are expected. You will be hammering on:
The core gameplay loop
Four playable species
A starter spread of weapons, abilities, and throwables
We're stress-testing the show, gathering survey data from every contestant, and turning that feedback into the next build. Every patch you see from here on out is downstream of what these testers hand us next week.

This first round is just the auditions, not the finale. Future invites will land with more polish, more weapons, and most of the bugs from this round patched out of the picture. Stick with us. The Arena gets meaner each iteration.
Frequently Asked Questions
What am I being asked to test?
You’ll be playing a very early version of the game, and we'll ask you to play rounds of the currently available mode. You’ll spawn in and be asked to complete a quest before the Relic becomes available for capture. The goal is to capture the relic and bring it to the center of the arena, and defend it to win. You’ll be testing everything - UI, sound, abilities, gameplay, we want your feedback on your whole experience!
Why am I being asked to sign an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement)?
We are asking our playtesters to sign an NDA because the show isn’t ready for broadcast yet. We’re asking you not to share or distribute content from your gameplay during this time. This lets us freely test ideas in development and work with the community to improve the game, without spoilers or miscommunication reaching the larger internet.
Do Early Alpha playtesters receive any rewards?
Once you are a confirmed closed alpha tester, you will receive an Alpha Player role in Discord. This role will give you access to the exclusive playtester sections of our community Discord server (Behind the Curtain). This is a special VIP section where we can share NDA-only behind-the-scenes news and exclusive surveys that help shape the direction of Heptic Arena’s development.
What are the minimum system requirements?
Due to Heptic Arena's closed alpha playtest builds being unoptimized and in active development, our recommended system requirements are at a minimum:
