This update sharpens how the world is lit and shaded, and gives the “why here” question a place to look. It changes no simulation rules -- only what you see.
Ask “why here” and the world listens. When you ask why a place is the way it is, the rest of the map gently darkens so your eye falls straight to the spot in question. The place is revealed by day and lifted by a soft moonlight glow at night; the highlight follows the passing day, and fades in and out as the panel opens and closes.
The god-rays no longer flip. The shafts of low sunlight used to jump top-to-bottom or side-to-side as you panned across the seam of the world. They now tile seamlessly, raying out from the sun wherever it stands on screen.
Truer colours. Dry land no longer floods with yellow, and water keeps a clean blue instead of drifting green as a world settles.
Shadows follow the sun. Mountain and object shadows now lean away from the visible sun, glide smoothly from dawn to dusk, and fall with cleaner, softer edges.
