Mochi's First Major Update is Here!
Our first major update introduces Room Battle, a brand-new gameplay mode for Mochi.
Build your battle room, discover different item combinations, choose powerful passives, and adapt your strategy as you progress through each run. Every run can develop differently depending on the items and upgrades you find along the way.
🏠 Room Battle
Create your own battle setup using room items with different abilities and synergies. Position your items, develop your build, and face other rooms as you fight to survive.
Room Battle is designed around experimentation — there isn't just one way to build your room. Try different strategies, discover combinations, and see how far your build can go.
A quick note about matchmaking: Mochi is still a small and growing community, so for now you may encounter BOTs more often than real players in Room Battle. BOTs help fill matches so you can jump into a battle without waiting for a full group of players.
As our community grows and there are enough players online, our goal is to introduce player-only matchmaking, where you can compete entirely against other real players.
Room Battle is still new, and we're continuing to improve it. You may encounter some bugs, and some items, builds, or strategies may not be perfectly balanced yet. Your feedback and battle experiences will help us understand what needs to be improved as the mode grows.
✨ A Refreshed Mochi
We've also given Mochi a major visual refresh. Many parts of the interface have been redesigned with a warmer, cozier style that better fits the world of Mochi.
🎵 New Music & Sound
This update introduces new background music and sound effects across Mochi and Room Battle, making your room and battles feel more alive.
🔧 Improvements & Fixes
We've also included various fixes, UI improvements, and quality-of-life changes throughout the game.
🌱 A Small Note From the Developer
Mochi is being created and maintained by a solo developer with limited resources. Building new features, creating content, maintaining the game, and keeping its online services running all take time and resources.

This is only the beginning of Mochi.
In future updates, we plan to expand your home far beyond the room you have today. We'd love to introduce new spaces such as a garden, kitchen, and many more areas for you and Mochi to enjoy together.
We also plan to keep expanding the item collection over time, with the long-term goal of bringing thousands of different items and decorations to discover, collect, and use to make your Mochi space truly your own.
Room Battle will continue growing too, with more items, strategies, balance improvements, gameplay content, and new ways to build your room.
