WARM 2.33.0a

Wolves

  • Wolves can now grab you. After the first wolf round, an attacking wolf may seize a player in its jaws and drag them away from camp instead of a quick bite-and-run.

  • Only one player can be carried at a time. The wolf hauls you off into the dark, biting as it runs, then drops you. You’ll be limp and unable to act until you hit the ground and get back up.

  • Teammates can scare a carrying wolf off with a torch swing. Stay near the fire — getting pulled into the storm is how you freeze.

Gameplay

  • Larger parties now get more shared pickups (twigs, firewood, giant logs, peaches) and extra wood from split logs. Wolf packs grow with the group and attack more aggressively.

  • Difficulty is locked when the fire is lit. A player dropping out mid-run no longer makes the remaining night easier.

  • The cabin itself now keeps you warm and sheltered. The extra campfire that used to sit out front is gone.

  • Fast travel has been removed from the map. You’ll still see campsites and the cabin, but you’ll have to walk there.

Fixes

  • If the host disconnects, you’ll get a clear host-left message instead of a generic disconnect, then a notice when you’re back at the menu.

  • Remote players no longer keep walking in place after someone starts crafting or another minigame.

  • Pausing in multiplayer no longer lets you slide across the snow at your last speed.

  • Two players can no longer both claim the same campsite log. You’ll get a toast if the log is already taken or your inventory is full.

  • Minigames can’t be started in mid-air.

  • Sleds already being pushed no longer highlight or show an interact prompt.

  • Torch swings now show up for other players.

  • Frozen players no longer show a duplicate held item in first person.

Audio & presentation

  • Pushing the sled now has a looping scrape that gets louder as you pick up speed.

  • Loading screens cover the previous scene immediately, and status text is easier to read.
