So. You have found the door with no price on it.

That is deliberate. The house does not charge for the first hour. It charges for the last one.

The demo for Pegs of Hell is out now, and it is free in the way that first drinks are free.

What is behind the door

 • The Induction. Eight short chapters where I explain the rules across a table - the drop, the board, the lanes, the elements, the cards, the fire, the money, and the people who come to collect. You will not be reading a manual. You will be playing, and I will be talking.

 • The Carnival of Folly. The first of my seven rings, and the Fool who runs it. Beat his tables and he gives up his seal. He will not enjoy it.

 • Eight floors, of one hundred. Classic runs, full rules, no shortcuts. Your soul is the collateral and the rent goes up every round. It always goes up.

What is not

Six more rings and everyone who owns them. The Pit Boss and his shop. Collections Night, where the debt comes to your table with a face on it. The Daily Descent. Ninety-two floors. And the House Table at the bottom of all of it, where I am sitting, with a chair out for you.

The small ask

Play it. Lose a few - everyone does, and I keep the recordings.

If you find you like the way the ball falls, put the full game on your wishlist and Steam will tell you the moment the doors open properly. No obligation, of course. I always say that. It is technically true.

There are ten achievements down there as well. I hid two of them.

Now mind the fire on your way in.
