Welcome to the coming soon page for Water's Bounty. This is a solo Indie Dev project that is based off the old game Uncharted Waters. Trading, battling, and finding answers to an open world is what awaits anyone in Water's Bounty. I will be using these announcements to show you updates on the game, and even videos of progress as well. If I find the time, I can show you some of the behind the scenes as well. There is already a ton of programming to this game, and I am only within the 2nd week of planning and development. It took me 15 months from learning the engine to releasing Dimensional Gates, so this game should go fast. Laurel's Day only took me two weeks to make, and Imminent Distress a month.

I plan on hoping to have Water's Bounty done in time for the next RPG Maker Festival, but we are too early in the stags of development to say. I should have a demo out though for a Next Fest hopefully before the end of this year. The Demo will include three towns to trade with, a boat shop in two of them to build a boat, and upgrade cannons. And one will have a working bar and a crew member to join you. Amadou, the man with the eyepatch in the trailer, will be at the bar. Once he realizes you are the child of the family he let down, he gives you a quest to find something for him, and if you bring it back, he joins you. He will add extra damage to your cannons, as well as fight along side you in boarding battles and land resource gathering. There is a ton of pixel art done for this game already too. I was able to manipulate an angel statue RTP into a ship's figurehead, and created a Captains Wheel that animates from scratch. Changing the sails for each faction is coming along as well. I have the Ronek faction for the captain in the trailer, but there is another captain of theirs that uses different sails. This is so when you are on the world map, you can see from a far if enemy ships are approaching you.

Community3 Sep 2026Localization is almost doneWater's Bounty is being Localized into Japanese, and Simplified Chinese. I have the Simplified Chinese done for the demo and ready to launch, and just waiting on the Japanese which shouldn't take more than two weeks. At that point, I will drop the demo for English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese at the same time. I lucked out again and just like my amazing Japanese Localizer, I now have an in…Community19 Aug 2026Just an UpdateI've been working hard on the game, and almost have the demo ready to drop. Give me a few weeks to a month to get that ready. I want to localize it to Japanese though before it drops, so give me some time for that as well. Other than that, the game's systems that run everything are setup. The only system I still have to work on is the enemy AI grid, but I only have 14 blocks left to program. Ot…
