Hi everyone!
This is my first game. I've spent almost two years making it on my own, including the engine underneath it. I've looked at these tiny souls for so long that seeing a Buy button where the Wishlist button used to be feels a little unreal. To celebrate the release, Karma Keepers is 40% off for the first two weeks.
Karma Keepers is a chill idle/incremental strategy game about building a realm that can eventually run itself. You begin with a Totem and a few Lost Souls drifting around it. Restore them into Keepers, give them jobs, and build a Faith economy around them. The work is hands-on at first, but Blessings and Miracles gradually automate the routine and leave you to decide how the realm should grow. It won't stay peaceful forever. Corruption Waves undo your progress, Shadows try to claim Lost Souls, and Demons stand between you and the next Karma tier. Your Keepers can learn to protect the realm, but they may still need a little help from above.
Restore Lost Souls and give your Keepers different jobs as the realm's needs change.
Build a Faith economy and automate work that once needed your attention.
Survive Corruption Waves, Shadow Incursions, and Demons that block your progress.
Unlock Blessings and Miracles that change how your realm grows and defends itself.
Use Divine Rebirth, spend Ascension Points on permanent upgrades, and begin the next realm with a stronger plan.
Thank you. The released game continues beyond the demo with more Karma tiers, Miracles, Demons, and permanent progression through Ascension Upgrades and Divine Rebirth. Demo saves do not transfer to the full game, so you will need to begin a new realm.
Karma Keepers is available on Windows and macOS.
Steam Deck support still needs some work. I plan to improve it in a follow-up update. You can play in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, and Simplified Chinese.
Thanks to everyone who played the demo, reported a bug, sent feedback, or put the game on their wishlist. When you work alone, it becomes very easy to miss things that seem obvious to everyone else. Your feedback made the game better. If you play Karma Keepers and enjoy it, leaving a Steam review would help a lot. It doesn't need to be long. A few honest lines make it easier for a small game like mine to find the people who might enjoy it. I'd also love to hear how your realm goes. Tell me in the comments which Keeper role ends up doing most of the work for you. If you find a bug or something doesn't make sense, please email me at [email protected]. Thanks for giving my first game a chance and thanks for playing!
