The name Infinigama did not appear right away. Before it, there were Cell City, Planet Online, Virtles, NSTD, and other name variations. So there may be a logical question: why is the game now called Infinigama, and not Virtles or NSTD, even though it is not that different from them?
Because at one point, the project almost went in a different direction.
Some time ago, the author of this project was developing a YouTube channel and running games there with real cash prizes. People drew pictures, guessed songs, completed tasks, and even ran around the city to take photos of specific things. It was fun, active, and helped the channel grow quite quickly.
After that, the idea appeared to move these games into a digital format. At first, there were websites with tasks, then ideas with Telegram bots, and then the thought of making a new online game every week: no accounts, no registration, just open it and participate.
At first, it seemed very convenient. But it quickly became clear that players still needed an identity: a name, progress, and a place where they could be themselves. So the idea gradually turned into a spaceship flying somewhere into infinity. It had rooms with games, chat, resources, and different activities.
That is when the name Infinigama appeared – an infinite game. Not one specific game, but a space where different worlds, rules, and formats could appear. Sometimes online, sometimes in real life.
But this idea had problems. Website games felt unfamiliar to many people. And real-world tasks are difficult to make global: people are located in different cities and countries, not in one place.
In the end, the project returned to something closer and more understandable: an online world with characters, clothes, resources, real estate, trading, and live interaction between players.
Yes, in this sense, Infinigama continues the line of Virtles and NSTD. But the name was not changed.
Besides, the name still fits quite well. Because Infinigama today is not just one mode and not just one world. It is a universe that can grow, change shape, and gradually bring different game ideas together.
