SAVE SYSTEM ONLINE. SENTINELS ACTIVATED.

Devlog #25 – Major Systems Update

This update pushes I Thalassa deeper into large-scale underwater gameplay.

Persistent progression, enemy wave management, recruitable bodyguard ships, upgraded VFX pipelines, and fully refactored combat systems are now online.

FULL SAVE SYSTEM

Your progression now persists through a complete multi-slot architecture.

  • 3 save slots
  • Checkpoint saves
  • Session autosave
  • Persistent inventory and economy
  • Mission restoration
  • Build module persistence

The entire save pipeline now runs through the new ISaveable framework.

GPU INSTANCED ENEMY SENTINELS

Sentinel enemies have been completely rebuilt for scalability and performance.

The new system supports:

  • GPU-instanced rendering
  • Wave spawning loops
  • Group AI FSM behaviors
  • Dissolve destruction shaders
  • Per-group combat separation

Mass enemy encounters are now significantly more stable and expandable.

BODYGUARD CAPSULE SHIPS

New support ships can now be recruited directly in gameplay.

Players can:

  • Swim to capsules
  • Board support ships
  • Deploy anchors
  • Trigger entry VFX interactions
  • Use autonomous bodyguard support

NEW MISSION TYPE

“Defeat Enemy Wave” missions are now implemented with:

  • Compass suggestions
  • Wave tracking
  • Enemy group separation
  • Dynamic combat progression

AUDIO & VISUAL UPGRADES

  • Dedicated UI audio channels
  • Spatial weapon sound routing
  • Game Over explosion sequence
  • Projectile rock impacts
  • Debris FX refactor
  • Updated muzzle flashes

Development continues.
More underwater systems, world mechanics and multiplayer features are coming soon.
