Beta 0.35

Gameplay Improvements & Changes:

The game now saves mission progress to disk between screens instead of only when returning to menu. This will prevent progress from being lost if the game is suddenly closed.

Re-wrote shove code to prioritize targets in order of distance so that the closest enemy will always get shoved when there are overlapping targets.

A standing corpse that has been shoved or grabbed will now absorb attacks if it is hit, like a living character would.

You can no longer be stumbled by a standing corpse unless it has actually been shoved.

Redesigned the grab move to be visually consistent and have better collisions. It is now a little easier to cause friendly-fire by using enemies as shields.

Characters can no longer block when being turned around by a grab. <-- For real this time

Fixed corpses not stumbling enemies when they have been grabbed instead of shoved.

If a character is shoved again while already in the shove state, the subsequent shove state will have reduced duration and travel distance. This is to prevent the player getting shoved back and forth by enemies.

If an enemy attacks and then is stumbled, the slash will follow the stumbled enemy. This is to prevent an enemy being knocked away from his own attack.

Additional Content & Visual Changes:

New music has been added to the remaining missions in Scenario Mode. The exact order may be adjusted before release.

Adjusted the system for damaging corpses so that it tries to prioritize gore effects that haven't been applied yet.

The Dojo students are now colour-coded according to their difficulty level.

Bugfixes & UI Improvements:

You can now tap start to progress from the chapter-results screen in Scenario Mode, instead of holding it.

Finishing a scenario on a higher difficulty will now unlock all the lower difficulties for that mission.

The Extras menu will now tell you which entries count as cheats and will disable saving scores.

'Display Timer' and 'Display FPS' are now disabled by default for a cleaner default look.

The 'time display' setting from the options now affects the timer in Scenario and Survival Mode too.

Fixed a small visual issue with the shove animation.

Added additional collision checks to prevent characters from jittering around when trapped between two other characters.

The loading-circle no longer overlaps the UI when selecting 'default' in the character screen.

Fixed the Dojo boss' appearance defaulting to a generic enemy.

Fixed player inputs affecting the pre-battle poses with bosses.

Fixed issues with the score display in co-op mode.

This one is just to fix the memory leak issue which was reported to me, but there will be more to come. Thanks to those of you who commented about this problem and apologies for the delay in getting it fixed. ------------------ Version 1.3 Fixed a memory leak issue.First Cut: Samurai DueGame update13 Apr 2024Patch Notes: Version 1.29Hello everyone, This patch contains a few mechanical and AI tweaks. Blocking from behind has been buffed, and enemies now have slightly better tracking. This should barely affect lower-difficulty enemies, but higher-difficulty enemies (mostly bosses) won't be as easy to cheese by just walking backwards. Skilled AI can still be baited into missing, but it will require more careful use of footwor…
