Greetings Terrarians!
We are back once again with the latest and greatest Terraria news. It was another eventful month - Terraria turned 15(!), we saw the teaser reveals of both the Collector's Edition and the Design Works retrospective book, and a ton of progress took place on 1.4.5.7 as well. That one is shaping up nicely, we think, and thank you for giving us the time needed to try and get it as right as possible on the first go - a big challenge with any balance-based task. All that said, we hope you will enjoy what we have to share this month and are as excited as we are for what is to come in the weeks and months ahead!
Let's see what is in store this month, shall we...

Sometimes, addressing balance means rethinking some core aspects around how things function - or expanding upon what is already there in new ways. Our pair of spoilers this month are a nice representation of this dynamic. They are also again indicative of the scope of changes being made around the balancing goals - this is not just about adjusting a few numbers here and there. Of course, when the time comes and you all have these changes in your hands, we will be all ears to hear your feedback. Too much? Not enough? Just right? We can't wait to see what you make of it all!
Alongside that work, we have been having some nice discussions around how best to roll out Crossplay (likely in phases, as shared previously) in a way that brings the functionality as quickly as possible to everyone without causing any confusion. We will share more on that as those plans coalesce, but suffice to say for now that we are trying to plan ahead for what's next! As for this month's PC spoiler, well...

Where does he get those wonderful toys...
Keep your thoughts and feedback rolling in, it is always helpful for us to take into account. Hopefully, we will have 1.4.5.7 wrapped up soon!

Hello everyone!
On June 1st the regular monthly update release of tModLoader for 1.4.4 will go live. It contains various bug fixes and some small features.
As we mentioned last month, the tModLoader team has been spending most of our efforts working on updating tModLoader to the Terraria 1.4.5 update. This last month we've seen a huge amount of progress, particularly in the form of code contributions from the community. Many of these code contributions are from new contributors, which is great to see. We are extremely grateful for those willing to help with this process, both through code contributions and through voicing their thoughts in the planning discussion chats that take place on Discord. The tModLoader team will continue to work with experienced modders to progress towards the tModLoader 1.4.5 update.
This process as well as any other big changes desired by the modding community for this update will take many months still. There are still many tasks to be done, if you are interested in contributing code for the 1.4.5 update, the 1.4.5 Update Information page has information on how to contribute and what tasks remain to be done. That page also explains how to join the "1.4.5-dev" beta branch on Steam to test out the current state of the update. Users can join that beta branch to help identify and report remaining bugs, but don't expect that version of the game to be stable quite yet.
Modders and users should also keep an eye out for our monthly Steam announcement on the 1st where a complete listing of bug fixes and API changes for this month's release will be listed. The in-game news button on the main menu will direct you directly to the announcement once it is live.
We look forward to seeing how mods make use of these new features. As always, if you are having issues of any sort, definitely don't hesitate to check out our FAQ on github or reach out to us at our Discord.

The TML Steam Workshop has over 10,000 mods for you to enjoy! Coupled with the in-game mod browser, the TML Steam Workshop is a great way to explore what modded Terraria has to offer - check it out today by clicking the banner above!

Hello Terrarians!
Terraria 1.4.5.7 grows ever-closer each day, and it is definitely more than the usual "hotfix" update for sure. We are still feeling confident that we will have the console and mobile versions out in close proximity to the PC release. Along with the Re-Logic team, we are happy to celebrate 15 years of Terraria, and we are so happy to be a part of this amazing journey. Here's to many more years of adventure!
Of course, we would be remiss to not include a spoiler, right?

Sometimes, it's hard to choose which ammo to use... so why not leave it up to chance?

Until next time, Console & Mobile friends - thanks for all of your love and support!
