Hello everyone,

We have an important update to share.

The Lone City Kickstarter campaign is now live.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/yangyuanjie/lone-city

For us, this campaign is not just about funding. It is about finding the first people who are willing to stand with Lone City while it is still being built.

Lone City is a post-apocalyptic survival game focused on loneliness, exploration, danger, and the fragile connections that remain after the world has fallen.

We know Kickstarter does not guarantee visibility, and as a small indie team, every wishlist, share, comment, and supporter truly matters to us.

If you believe in Lone City, please consider visiting our Kickstarter campaign and supporting us there.

Your support can help us expand the game with more content, better polish, stronger atmosphere, and a more complete survival experience.

What’s New in This Update

Third-Person Mode Has Been Added

One of the biggest changes in this update is the addition of third-person gameplay.

Players can now experience Lone City from a wider perspective, making exploration, movement, combat awareness, and character presence feel much stronger.

This is an important step for us because Lone City is not only about surviving in a ruined world — it is also about feeling your place inside that world.

Weather System Added

We have also added a weather system to the game.

The world of Lone City should not feel static. Rain, changing skies, and shifting atmosphere help bring the ruined city to life and make exploration feel more immersive.

This is only the beginning. We will continue improving the mood, lighting, environmental tension, and world atmosphere over time.

What We Are Working on Next

Our current development plan focuses on improving both gameplay and presentation.

Upcoming work includes:

• Large map optimization

• Settings menu

• Inventory interface

• More monster models

• Improved monster behavior logic

• Better enemy reactions and encounter flow

• More polish for exploration and combat

• Continued preparation for the June Steam Next Fest

Preparing for Steam Next Fest

We are currently preparing Lone City for the June 2026 Steam Next Fest.

This will be an important opportunity for more players to discover the game, try the demo, and tell us what they think.

Before then, we will continue improving the core experience as much as possible.

Our goal is not to pretend the game is already perfect.

Our goal is to keep building it openly, step by step, together with the players who care about it.

Why Kickstarter Matters

Lone City is already in development, but Kickstarter gives us a chance to go further.

With your support, we can invest more into:

• Additional content

• Voice work

• Better atmosphere

• More enemy variety

• Improved gameplay systems

• Custom supporter rewards

• Long-term community-driven development

Even if you cannot support the campaign directly, wishlisting the game, sharing the Kickstarter, or telling a friend about Lone City helps us more than you may realize.

Thank You

To everyone who has followed Lone City, added it to their wishlist, commented, shared, or believed in the project:

Thank you.

The world of Lone City is lonely by design.

But the development of Lone City does not have to be.

If you want to help us bring this world to life, please visit our Kickstarter campaign and consider becoming one of the first supporters of Lone City.

See you in the ruins.

— The Lone City Team
