Hello everyone, we are excited to announce that at the end of June, Murders on the Yangtze River will be bringing a series of updates and events:
New Version Release: We are planning to release a new version of Murders on the Yangtze River next week. In this version, we are introducing the Traditional Chinese version of the game. It is important to note that the game’s voiceovers are still in Simplified Chinese, so there may be some differences between the voiceovers and the Traditional Chinese subtitles. However, all subtitles have been localized according to the conventions of Traditional Chinese-using regions.
New Features and Optimizations:
1) Skip Button: We have added a skip button in the chase sequence of Chapter 5 and the infiltration sequence of Chapter 6. If you are unable to pass these sequences after several attempts, you can choose to skip them.
2) Hint System: A new hint system has been added to help players navigate the game better.
3) Performance Optimization: Comprehensive optimizations have been made to enhance the overall game performance and experience.
4) UI Enhancements: Some UI elements have been optimized.
5) Bug Fixes: Several known bugs have been fixed.
6) English version Enhancements: English subtitles improved.
Due to the new version's code architecture being different from the old version, reading old save files may still cause game anomalies despite our efforts. Therefore, we recommend that after updating, you do not load old save files but continue the game through the feature and then save again. Your unlocked achievements, collectibles, and endings will not be affected. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
DLC Preview: At the end of June, we will release the preview of the first DLC for Murders on the Yangtze River, titled The Last Magic Trick. Interested players can look forward to the trailer.
Steam Summer Sale: During the 14-day Steam Summer Sale starting on June 28, Murders on the Yangtze River will be available at a 20% discount, the lowest price ever. Interested players should not miss out!
