Set in Taiwan during the 2010s, Recall: Empty Wishes is a story-driven interactive adventure that follows Yonny, a young woman searching for answers behind the mysterious disappearance of her brother, Tommy. As she delves deeper into the past, she encounters an eerie world where forgotten wishes take shape, leading her to relive fragmented memories from multiple perspectives of key characters connected to Tommy.
Story
When Yonny’s beloved brother, Tommy, vanishes without a trace, her determination to uncover the truth leads her to a surreal realm connected through an old toy phone receiver they used to play with as kids. This mysterious device allows Yonny and her friend, Phoebe, to delve into the memory echoes of key individuals tied to Tommy’s fate, revealing their deepest desires and secrets.
Gameplay
Through interactive 2D side-scrolling gameplay, players will relive pivotal moments in the lives of key characters, unravel a tangled web of mystery and emotion, and uncover choices that shape the story’s haunting conclusion. With a unique blend of fantasy, mystery, and horror, Recall: Empty Wishes invites players into an emotional detailed narrative that explores the fragile boundaries of memory, truth, and longing.
