Hello! And once again, thank you for your patience!

It has been a little while, and a lot of progress has been made on the game since last time, so let’s not waste any time...

Here are the highlights:

  • Added and mostly done with over 95% of all puzzles!

  • Added and mostly done with Controller support! (mainly Xbox and Playstation but should hopefully work with most gamepads!)

  • Added and mostly done with Steam deck performance and compatibility checks!

  • Added and mostly done with background music (I found a composer!)

  • Added and mostly done with Menus & Settings

  • Huge performance improvements related to rendering (Even the Steam Deck can now run it at over 4K 30fps !)

  • Improved rendering quality related to anti-aliasing

  • Tons of bug fixes and crash fixes, including the official unity security patch from September

  • Added a bunch of gameplay and accessibility related settings

  • And a lot of polish to various features...

Music

The best news in my opinion, is that; I found a music composer for the game!

In fact, it was shortly after the last update, that they agreed to start working on the music for the game, and have been working hard on it ever since! In fact, the music is already way over halfway done and while I won’t mention their name just yet, I can reveal that as part of our agreement, you will be able to support the composer directly by buying the soundtrack here on Steam! (and on other platforms!) Now, the reason that this is the best news for me, is that I had to learn the hard way, that I cannot compose music, at least not without practicing for the next 3 years or something... So I’m extremely happy that they decided to help me out, and I hope you’ll enjoy listening to the music as you solve all the puzzles!

Demo

Now on a completely different note, you may have noticed that I haven’t worked directly on getting a demo ready, and that’s due to a change in strategy; I’ve decided to finish the game first and then create the demo from it afterwards. The reason for doing it this way is simple; the game will be done sooner, because I can focus on just getting it done, instead of also having to support a demo alongside developing the full game... It’s the same reasoning I have for not posting/marketing the game yet – I simply do not have enough time. As I probably mentioned previously, I have studies and exams to keep up with while working on the game, and those are my top priority.

Mobile Port

Also, I mentioned a mobile port in my last update, but I don’t have any news to share on that currently – although I did get a feel for how the game might play with a touchscreen since I got it running on the Steam Deck, so I do still think it could work, but after seeing how much work it was to make gamepad controls work, I’ll definitely still be holding off on that until after the PC release...

Release Estimates

I originally had a whole paragraph explaining my estimates for when I would release the demo and full game, but it basically all boiled down to this; I hope I can release the demo in about a year, but realistically, it might be a year and a half, and then hopefully the full release within a few months of that. No idea if that will happen though, since a lot could change once I finish studies around summer next year, so we’ll see... I would love to be wrong and that it’ll be out sooner, but considering my past estimates, that seems unlikely...

Development Status

Anyways, with all that said, I’ll try to keep doing updates like this and since I found it helpful last time, here’s another rough breakdown of the status of development on the game as of 25th of November 2025:

Backend Systems: 100%

Bonus Puzzles: 99%

Main Puzzles: 95%

Gameplay: 95%

UI: 85%

Sounds: 50%

Environment Art / Graphics: 50%

Music: 85%

Misc. / Polish: 65%

Total (724%) / 9 = ~80.4% Complete.

I’m not going to extrapolate this time, but 12.5% progress in 7 months seems really good!

Closing Thoughts

Finally, I mentioned some goals last time, and I’ve made a lot of progress on one of them, which is the music! As for the Trailer video and the Demo, well, I've already talked about the demo, and the trailer has similarly been de-prioritized, as it will instead be worked on as part of the marketing effort (whenever I get to that...), so that's pretty much where I'm at, at the moment!

So to close off, I am still fully committed to finishing and releasing the game, and I really look forward to the day that I can get the demo out!

As always, thank you for your continued patience and support!

-Peter
