We are thrilled to officially announce the second 5th Edition-exclusive expansion for Talisman: Digital 5th Edition: The Dead King.
Originally featured as a special bonus in the pages of White Dwarf, this fan-favorite ending will be available on Steam on May 21st, with other platforms to follow.
On Steam, Talisman: Digital 5th Edition - The Dead King will retail for $3.99 / £3.59 or your regional equivalent.
The Dead King does not seek to rule the world of Talisman; he seeks to consume it. Breaking free from the Realm of Souls, he has emerged to claim the Crown of Command for himself.
This expansion introduces a high-stakes "Player vs. Game" dynamic. Whether you are playing Solo, Co-op, or Competitive, the Dead King looms in the background, growing stronger and making his spirit allies bolder at the same time. Every time a player loses a life, the King gains power until he is ready to claim total victory - so your quest is to defeat him before that happens!
We know our community has been asking for a more focused way to play Talisman alone. With the launch of The Dead King, players can use this expansion and experience Solo Play in Talisman: Digital 5th Edition for the first time. You can choose to remove all AI rivals and bots, allowing you to face the King and his challenge entirely on your own.
The Dead King is compatible with all three Classic expansions we’ve so far brought over to Talisman: Digital 5th Edition. Stock up on loot for your quest in the streets with The City Classic or have the King team up with Death itself with The Reaper Classic, if you dare! You can also play as any of your unlocked Alliances: Fate Beckons characters, if you’re looking for another adventure beyond your original trials!
