Hello everyone !
Version 1.0.0 of LOCKDOWN Protocol released today. This update is mostly small secondary features and polish, but marks the end of early access, which is a big milestone for us !
(See patchnote here : ). This update marks a big change in our priorities, so in this post we will talk about our general plans for the future, what you can expect for LOCKDOWN Protocol, and from our team and future projects. OUR PLANS
First of all, we are moving our main focus to a new game project. While most of our time from now on will be focused on our next project, it doesn’t mean a full stop of LOCKDOWN Protocol development. In this post, we will discuss what you can expect for the future of LOCKDOWN Protocol, and our next project. LOCKDOWN PROTOCOL
To be clear, LOCKDOWN Protocol is mostly in a finished state. You can expect updates but nothing big. We are making a list of what you can and cannot expect, split in three categories :
What will happen
What could happen
What won’t happen
What is guaranteed :
This is the list of what you can be mostly sure about.
Bug fixes following 1.0.0
Public beta branch to ensure future updates are as bug free as possible.
More session settings
More cosmetics
What you could (maybe) expect :
This is the list of stuff we have in mind, but is absolutely not guaranteed. There are the things we might work on in the future, just to give you an idea :
Small seasonal events
Items in the lobby
More languages
New weapons and other non-task items
More musics
More contests
What you cannot expect :
This is the list of stuff that is completely out of our plans. And will most likely never happen.
New maps
Integrated mod support (more are still welcome, we simply don’t have the time and resources to implement and maintain official integrated mod support through the Steam workshop. If you’re a modder, feel free to ask questions in the modding channel of our Discord server : https://discord.com/channels/1182320434482511892/1273072674079510549 ).
