v3.0.1c - PUBLIC BETA

NOTE: Game saves ARE backward compatible with the last released version, so if you switch back to that version, you can continue playing any saves made in this beta. Multiplayer games are also backward-compatible with the last version, so you can play with those who have that version.

BETA 9

IMPROVEMENTS:

  • Tower Fall: Show rainbow at waterfall only at appropriate times.

  • Disabled eye movements on Young Hunter pups (because they can occasionally bug out due to body morphs for that age) (it's disabled on GP pups for the same reason).

BUGS FIXED:

  • IK: Wolf's body sometimes vibrates when biting NPC animal.

  • Tower Fall: At some ponds, beavers don't reliably head back to water when chased.

  • Controller: Game doesn't remember camera sensitivity setting.

BETA 8

IMPROVEMENTS:

  • Wolf eyes: reduced minimum dilation size.

BUGS FIXED:

  • Multiplayer: For client players, dirt burrow dens revert to pre-dug size when loading back into a saved game.

  • Tower Fall: Minor den and environment issues.

BETA 7

IMPROVEMENTS:

* Some improvements to translations of some game texts.

* Wolf eyes: Reduced dilation speed when lighting level changes.

BETA 6

IMPROVEMENTS:

  • Refined some NPC pathfinding around a few dens.

  • IK: Improve foot positioning when holding a bite on other animals.

  • Save system: Avoid corrupting existing files in some situations where saving fails.

  • Save system: Remove restrictions on special characters from save names.

  • Added small movements to wolf's eyes.

  • Added pupil dilation based on lighting to wolf eyes.

  • Tower Fall: Fixed a few more potentially-pink rocks.

  • Multiplayer: Added South Africa as a MP region.

TOWER FALL BUGS FIXED:

  • Beavers sometimes flee away from water instead of toward water.

  • A few other rocks can turn pink after season transition in rare cases.

  • Perched lynx don't glow or emit airborne scents in Scent View.

  • Grizzly bear in culvert trap doesn't glow in Scent View.

  • Bison Plush audio is rather loud.

  • Minor den issues.

OTHER BUGS FIXED:

  • Multiplayer: Game can get stuck if host decides to extend a mission (such as Raise Pups), but then a side mission (such as Kill Hidden Calf) is completed and the latter popup is queued while waiting for other players to acknowledge the completion of the main mission.

  • In rare situations, NPC animals will freeze when trying to choose the next waypoint.

  • IK: Brief spaghetti legs at the beginning of the roll emote.

  • Wolf sometimes turns its head too far to the side when entering den.

Community27 Aug 2026How Do We Know What Katmai Wolves Eat?What first drew us to the Katmai Coast as the location for a WolfQuest Game expansion? It was research conducted by Ellen Dymit, a wildlife biologist and doctoral student who has been studying the diet of wolves along the coast (and who played WolfQuest when she was young!). Ellen's research forms the basis of this expansion, because while the life of wolves in Katmai is very similar to those e…Game update24 Aug 2026Hotfix Patch v3.0.1m Releasedv3.0.1m - RELEASED 24 AUGUST 2026 BUGS FIXED: · Game freezes for several seconds when a summer pup dies. · Bull bison carcass reinflates some when being consumed.In-game event18 Aug 2026Patch v3.0.1l Released!v3.0.1l - RELEASED 18 AUGUST 2026 IMPROVEMENTS · Tweaked several instances of water appearance in Slough Creek. · Food Abundance: Prevent two years in a row on Poor. · Made foxes stay farther away from a carcass when defeated, so packmates will stop obsessing about them. · Tweaked coat frequency odds to equalize the in-game chances of certain coats. · Tweaked Summer Pup scent-tracking animation…
