As some of you may have heard, the adult games scene has been going through some turbulence lately with banks and payment processors. A bunch of +18 titles have recently been pulled from both Itch and even Steam, and even well-known payment processors have been refusing to process payments for this category in certain currencies…
Right in the middle of all this, the Compliance team from the payment provider that handles the money we get from Steam decided to freeze our funds. For two weeks, we were stuck in limbo while they investigated — they wanted to trace the exact source of the money and get all the details about our product. If you noticed that the Shale Hill Secrets page here on Steam suddenly lost all its explicit images and videos during that time… yeah, that’s why. We were genuinely worried about getting banned by the bank and losing access to our funds, which would most likely lead us to bankruptcy.
The good news? As of today, the bank’s Compliance department has cleared us and unfrozen our account! This means the game (and our bank account) is safe, and we can keep making content without fear of any sudden shutdowns (at least for now!)
So, the explicit images are now back on the game’s page — and while we were at it, we slipped in a few fresh, spicier CGs ;)
On top of that, we’re hard at work finishing up the Shale Hill Secrets DLCs that will unlock the Extra Bonus Scenes and the Epilogues. Keep your eyes peeled — our next post will have more info on all that juicy new content!
