We’re excited to bring you a fresh batch of intel directly from the depths of Deathground. It’s been a little quiet recently, but that radio silence is because we’ve been hard at work during the closed Beta, in preparation for the upcoming launch. Buckle up operatives, things are about to get deadly!
The number one thing you’ve been asking: When is the game launching? Like a ravenous Raptor chomping at the bit - we know you’ve been patient! But, well, here it is: Deathground is launching into Early Access this September. The exact release date reveal is just around the corner and we’ve been working on a brand new trailer, a final pre-release episode of ‘Devground’ and an update to the Steam store page - which will showcase the tension, the atmosphere, the chaos and of course - the release date. (Finally!)
Content Creators can even apply to get their hands on a pre-release preview build of Deathground. If you’re a streamer or gaming influencer you can still apply for ‘Phase 3 - Closed BETA’ access using this form.
We want to be clear: Deathground is launching into Early Access. This means:
It’s already shaping up into a tense, atmospheric survival experience.
But it’s also still in active development. There will be bugs, rough edges, and constant updates.
Early Access is just the beginning — we’ll be building this game alongside you and have already added several fantastic suggestions and ideas from our wonderful community.
Most importantly, we’re a small team focused on developing and improving Deathground, as such we’re really excited for you to get your hands on it.
Since the Deathground closed Alpha period concluded at the end of July (more on that here), testing with our Kickstarter Beta-pledged backers has been going strong.
Over the Alpha and Beta periods we’ve come a long way, and that's thanks to the invaluable feedback and suggestions across Steam, Discord and social channels - your input has helped us shape the gameplay experience while we balance, fix bugs, and polish the release build of the game.
In recent months especially, we’ve made performance a high priority with our goal being to make sure the game runs smoothly for as many players as possible. This remains a core focus, and we’re committed to pushing performance further as development continues.
