Make destruction fun again

Combat and damage

- Particle projectiles now apply damage exactly at the visible impact point.

- High‑speed shots remain reliable; vehicles won’t “run into” their own fire.

Impact visuals

- Weapon‑specific decals appear on hit:

- Machine gun: bullet holes

- Plasma rifle: plasma scorch

- Nail gun: puncture marks

Decal lifetime and performance

- Impact decals fade out smoothly over time.

- Decals are pooled and recycled; a per‑vehicle cap keeps performance steady by replacing the oldest mark first.

- Only the active weapon’s projectile VFX is enabled; unused variants are disabled automatically.

Gameplay feel

- Hit effects and damage are now tightly synchronized, making impacts feel precise, responsive, and readable.

- Incoming fire and explosions now shove vehicles realistically: bullets deliver a sharp jolt in the shot’s direction, while land mines blast outward, pushing and sometimes spinning targets. Powerful hits can bump you off the racing line—brace, counter‑steer, and use the recoil to your advantage. Or knock the opposition of the track with a well placed plasma round forcing the vehicle to over-steer.
