We’re pleased to announce that the Windows version of Machinarium has just received a technical update on Steam:
- DirectX 12 support – This helps ensure compatibility with current and future devices.
- Engine optimizations
- Updated mouse controls - The game now behaves as expected when you switch the function of Left and Right mouse buttons in Windows; cursor speed matches your settings in Windows
Compatibility
In case of the unlikely event that you can’t run the new DirectX 12 version, don’t worry! An older DirectX 9 executable is also part of this installation. You'll be asked which of the versions should be used when you launch the game on Steam.
Gamepad Support
At this time, the game should work fine with PlayStation, Xbox, and generic controllers. If you experience any issues with gamepad controls, please ensure that Steam Input is disabled for this game.
