It’s been a while since our last journey together. Without further ado, we will take you on a guided tour for one of the upcoming locations in Being & Becoming.
Let us Dive into this together, shall we?
Emerging from the ruins of a once grand cathedral, you descend into an ominous cavern. Bioluminescent ichor bubbling up from the pustules within the wood illuminates the treacherous path deeper in.
You radiate your own light within this foreboding darkness…
What other horrors could be lurking within these woods…
The blood of a renown battle watered the dense vegetation within The Great Forest of Gilead. They say the forest devoured more men than the sword. It now sits mired in corruption from the fallen star, Wormwood.
The Wolf sinks his teeth into the wood itself, manifesting from the corruption wherever he pleases. His many arms reach out to grab any passerby and pull them into his maw.
Strike a balance between swiftness and caution…
As you plunge down into the depths of the cave, the passage grows ever more dangerous. Thorns have woven their way into every surface they can, still slick with the blood of those who have met unfortunate fates upon their jagged spikes.
The gravity of your mission weighs heavier than the diver suit they bound you in. Yet, you still must tread lightly and quickly to survive.
Faith lifts your soul and body from the darkest depths…
As you escape the dark confines of the caves, your view opens up to the full majesty of The Great Forest of Gilead. Gargantuan trees and strange underwater life stretch out before you, forming a deadly combination that will test your reflexes and observation skills.
There are secrets great and small hidden within these woods…
Salt can be found just off the beaten path…
Stuck between a relentless onslaught and timed challenges
Ascending great coral structures, you will be swarmed by the corrupted creatures of this forest. One wrong step and you can find yourself diving back down to the forest floor.
Pay close attention to traps and enemies or pay dearly…
Creatures encased in statue fragments fallen from mysterious, skyscraping towers here cling to the walls in search of their next meal. Invulnerable to blade and even anchor, they can only be avoided. Perhaps if you had more movement abilities, you could bypass them…
Some obstacles cannot be challenged head on, instead use your wits and mobility to proceed…
As you pass these crawling horrors, the entrance is revealed to you – a grand entrance to beautiful, yet forgotten towers, tall enough to pierce the firmament itself. What could be lurking within these great structures of man and dream?
An imposing figure looms over the entrance, but does the being it was carved after seek to offer salvation or something else…?
…And this ends our tour for now! As you can glean from these enemies and mechanics, Being & Becoming is not just about relentless fighting. You will have to platform your way across a variety of challenges and be extremely mindful of your every step. Are you up to the task?
