FOREHEAD CHIP RELEASE SCHEDULE

Forehead Chip · published 6 Jan 2026, 22:16 UTC

All eventsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

Excited to announce that FOREHEAD CHIP has reached FIRST DRAFT COMPLETE stage!

What does that mean? It means the game is done (sorta). It is playable all the way through, you can even get to the different endings. But there still needs to be a variety of things fleshed out, like writing more dialog for characters, testing, polishing, bug fixing, etc. But it also means that a release date can be confidently targeted now!

RELEASE TARGET:

May 1 2026

What took so long to announce this? Well, I was working on the game. And many people thought the game was done, because a lot have played the PVP mode. Even ran a tournament with dozens of players on a big screen! So that part felt complete...

But this is a single player game first and foremost, and the largest chunk of time needed to get to a finished state involved the campaign mode. Because that mode has a story with many NPCs, it took far far longer to develop than the PVP mode. The PVP mode was always meant to be a "bonus" mode but it took on its own life into something really fun.

Ran social media accounts to get people in the know, but those were drowned in the giant noise of the internet. You're welcome to join the Discord or other socials. It's low-traffic, but with YOU there it will thrive! :) Will be updating them more frequently going forward, so you should follow. There's a link to all socials from the game website: https://www.foreheadchip.com.

DEMO:

February Next Fest

Before FOREHEAD CHIP even releases you will be able to try out a free demo during the upcoming Steam Next Fest. At that point it will probably have progressed to the SECOND DRAFT of the game. The demo will include most modes. The single player story mode will be capped at a certain amount of levels (or it wouldn't be a demo), but should get you a good taste of the game.

While there is a chance that unforeseen events could change the release date, any adjustments would be minor.

Rest assured, in about four months time, you will get that FOREHEAD CHIP you always wanted!
