My girlfriend sure has exquisite taste.
The server had a hard time stacking her ice cream scoops. I told her a few times to let them serve her ice cream on the plate instead of the waffle cone, but instead she cheered the server, telling them 'you can do it! Yippee!'
Fortunately, all went well. The damage was higher than expected ($27), and to cheer myself up, I grabbed a random cola slushy from their self-serve fridge. I don't even like cola.
We sit on the bench in front of the waffle shop. My girlfriend is quiet: that's when I know her ice cream makes her happy. A tall stack of five scoops: cherry, lemonade, beet, passion fruit, and strawberry – all arranged into 'perfection', according to her. I sure hope she won't drop it, but I know her. She's good in that.
After a while, I notice that she has been looking at me for a while, and when I look at her back, she smiles and returns to her ice cream. When I look away, I can surely feel her stare. I don't mind it – I like her attention – but her wordless stare starts to make me curious.
You: "What is it?"
Her: "Your ice cream, is it good?"
You: "This is just a cola slushy. It tastes like watered down cola, I guess?"
Her: "Is it good, sweetie?"
You: "If you like cola, sure."
Her: "Hmm..."

You: "I don't want to trade."

You: "But there's no cherry nor lemonade ice cream left here. You already ate the others."
Her: "Ah... Really...? It's not bad, sweetie! Beet is good for your body~"
I throw the entire waffle cone into my mouth. The cone flavour masks the earthy smell, at least.
Her: "Take this. It should help!"
She passes a coffee candy from her pocket. It's my favourite.
You: "Oh, thanks. This is nice."
Her: "Thank you for the ice cream, sweetie! You're so kind~"
You: "No worries, just don't eat it too often. You said you want to fit into your summer dress, didn't you?"
Her: "Aaah! Right! No more ice cream for me! I want to fit into that summer dress you bought me last year."
You: "You look good in any dresses, so you don't need to worry about that."
Her: "Yeah, but I'll wear that one you got for me on our next beach trip! I will eat less snack and exercise more! Will you help me, sweetie~"
