K-pop fans, be honest — have you ever wanted to try building a relationship with an idol?
What do you think of this kind of character? What I especially love about developing characters is fully immersing myself in their world. When creating their appearance, backstory, and scenes, I try to deeply study and feel the field they belong to. If it’s K-pop, I constantly listen to my favorite tracks, explore how the industry works, and dive into its culture. If it’s fashion, I watch documentaries and films about the fashion world, study its history, and keep up with the latest runway shows. There’s a huge amount of research behind every character to make their world feel as real and believable as possible.
It’s a meticulous process, but I absolutely love it. In my visual novel, I explore many areas of art and culture, and I sincerely want to share with you the most fascinating things I’ve found and brought to life.
