Hi Chefs! Version 0.62 is now live! This is a general clean-up of the project, and addressing frequently mentioned issues to help us prepare for the next major update. Version 0.62 contains controls changes, numerous quality of life improvements, and many bug fixes. A couple new Machine furniture items have been added as well.

The biggest change in Version 0.62 involves controls. The consumable slot has been updated to the 10-Slot panel commonly found in other games. The 10-Slot panel gives more options for items to select, and we have found that it is easier to navigate when using a controller. Since this UI is so common, it helps reduce the barriers of entry for new players.

For Mouse & Keyboard Users, mouse LEFT CLICK can now be used to interact with objects, and automatically equip weapons. You can also Use LEFT CLICK to select slots in the consumables panel.
For Controller users, LEFT / RIGHT shoulder buttons will navigate the consumables panel.
For Playstation Dualsense users : Just a reminder that this controller must be plugged in to work properly.

Tools have been updated. Scythes, drills, watering cans, spades, and fishing rods no longer need to be equipped before using, so this should help make using tools more streamlined. Bows and Spears will still need to be equipped, since these weapons require aiming.

Bow Lock-On Feature (Controllers only)
When aiming a bow, you can now toggle a Lock-On feature, which will make aiming much easier when using a controller.

Due to the change in the Consumables Slot, some key binds have been updated accordingly. Upon entering the game, your key Rebinds will be reset to the default. If you have custom keybinds, they will need to be remapped again.

Reputation has been temporarily disabled as it currently does not have any meaning impact in the game, and does not unlock many features. For the few instances where Reputation score impacts the game, the requirement will now be based on Prestige Instead. We may bring back reputation in the future when new features are added and when it can have a more meaningful impact on the game loop.
The following Reputation requirements will now be based on Prestige :

Building interiors will now be impacted by day / night cycles. Most buildings will have night lights that will turn on around sunset. For player-owned buildings, a new feature has been added that will allow you to control the lighting style using a new Machine called Light Controller.

Light Controller -----
This is a new Furniture Item that when placed, can be used to control the lighting in a room. There are 2 lighting modes. You can choose to have the room’s overhead lights to always be on (ignores day night cycle), or turn them off and light your room using decorative lights. More lighting options are available under each mode. By default, before the machine has been placed, the overhead lights will be active (no day / night cycle by default). The blueprint for Light Controllers are automatically unlocked.

Chocolate Maker -----
This new machine allows you to convert Cocoa Beans (obtained from farming) into Dark Chocolate. The blueprint for this machine is a rare reward for completing certain activites.
Soup Vat -----
This new machine allows you to convert Raw Pheasant into Pheasant Stock. The blueprint for this machine is a rare reward for completing certain activites.

That’s all for now! We have also made a lot of progress towards our next Major Update : Food & Festivals. This is a very large update, hence we do not have a specific release date yet. We will keep you posted when things become clearer and more finalized over the next few weeks!
