Hey Everyone,
Dev team here with an update.
Now that we’re in the post-launch phase, we’re shifting into long-term expansion and bugfixes.
We’re currently finding our rhythm, aiming for a weekly patch cadence. These typically alternate between platforms—for example, PlayStation one week, PC the next. Though most improvements are global, with some platform-specific differences.
This weekend, we’re hard at work preparing the next PlayStation patch, with the Steam update to follow shortly after.
We’re committed to weekly updates, addressing critical issues piece by piece.
Key Priorities
Player Camera: Especially in 2-player mode, the camera needs to better handle open-world environments.
Bike Handling & Navigation: Improvements to bike physics, camera control, and cases where players get stuck.
Main Quest Marker: Under certain conditions, the main quest marker disappears, leading to confusion. We're fixing that.
Save File System: Several weaknesses affect performance and reliability, particularly on lower-end systems that once fixed should strengthen performance on all devices.
UI Improvements: We're exploring new UI elements to improve orientation. A toggleable “Immersive Mode” is one potential option, though still under design discussion.
A bug around FAA after the last UNREAL ENGINE upgrade has snuck into the build, causing subtle but present ghosting-pixelation render issue that needs fixing. FAA (Fast Approximate Anti-Aliasing) is a post-processing effect that smooths out jagged edges and it is not behaving correctly.
Streamer Mode with music not associated with the TV show to avoid triggering the copyright algorithm.
Longterm, a key request from fans is expanding collectable resources in the world and how they are connected.
Near-Term Fixes (Expected This Week)
Players on older hardware should no longer lose progress due to save file corruption.
Ehsan’s Quests:
Fixed quest-stalling bugs.
Lowered cooking difficulty to improve quest flow.
Camera Improvements:
Default camera snap disabled.
Bike camera rotation enabled.
Acceleration mapped to L1/R1.
RC cars and players no longer get stuck on each other.
Sudden NPC appearances near water have been removed.
Multiple UI bugs in the Fishing Game have been fixed, improving the experience overall.
Missing golden/legendary critters in Malay now properly register for achievements, along with other related fixes.
The major “endless yellow loading icon” bug on PlayStation is resolved and included in the previous patch.
Night-time scenes have been significantly brightened.
Various smaller hitches in the main quest have been fixed.
Various language & localisation tweaks.
Your Feedback is Driving This
Many of these fixes are based directly on community feedback. We encourage everyone to join us on Discord and continue sharing your experiences. Your input has been invaluable in helping us fine-tune the balance and feel of the open world—especially over the past week.
Thanks for being part of the journey!
