Please Be Happy 2.0.1 — Unity security patch, and various other bugfixes

【※日本語は英語の下に掲載しています。Japanese version can be found below.】Hello, everyone!Please Be Happy 2.0.1 has just been released, which fixes the Unity Runtime (UnityPlayer) CVE-2025-59489 security vulnerability, as well as a few minor issues in the game that were either reported by the community, or were found in testing.As always, thank you for continuing to support Studio Élan!

Changelog for 2.0.1:

On PC, it targets Unity SDK version 2021.3.40f1. (※ The CVE-2025-59489 Unity Runtime security vulnerability has been patched.)

• Patched the CVE-2025-59489 Unity Runtime security vulnerability.

• Improved workaround introduced in 2.0 for an issue with AMD’s amdvlk64 GPU driver.

• Improved handling for extremely low-end (early 2010s) integrated graphics boards.

• Optimised and decreased size of the game. Most notably affects the demo, which is now much smaller.

• Fixed a typo in the Korean localisation of Chapter 1 Scene 10.

• Fixed a rendering issue with Elijah’s speech bubble that could occur under certain circumstances.

• Improved texture compression behaviour.

【Important】 Statement regarding Unity Runtime (UnityPlayer) security vulnerability CVE-2025-59489

This update contains a fix for the recently-discovered Unity Runtime (UnityPlayer) security vulnerability, CVE-2025-59489 .Due to external circumstances, we are locked to using a specific version of the Unity SDK (2021.3.40f1/6fcab7dbbbc1) — however, please rest assured that despite this fact, our automated build process now automatically patches the CVE security vulnerability at build-time, and the game is safe to have installed on your device.We have also reissued patched builds for our other Unity game, Summer at the Edge of the Universe.For more information, please refer to Unity’s official developer documentation on this matter: https://unity.com/security/sept-2025-01As always, thank you for supporting Studio Élan.

Regarding older versions of the game

※ For those who choose to use older versions of the game via the "Betas" tab, please note that at this time of writing, 1.x versions of the game have not yet been retroactively patched. 2.0.1の変更内容：

このアップデートには、最近発見されたUnity Runtime（UnityPlayer）のセキュリティ脆弱性CVE-2025-59489に対する新しい修正が含まれています。

外部要因により、Unity SDKの特定バージョン（2021.3.40f1/6fcab7dbbbc1）に固定されていますが、ビルド時に自動的にCVE脆弱性を修正する仕組みを導入しました。

また、Studio Élanの別のUnityゲーム『Summer at the Edge of the Universe』についても、修正版ビルドを再配布しました。
