The long-awaited “outdoor” L Room we’ve teased in gogh Gazette is finally here‼️
And the location is none other than the familiar “Botamochi Highland” for mobile players!
Room-building fun is expanding beyond indoors!!
*This is a Creative Mode–only addition.
Since this is our first outdoor space,
“Wait… what happens when it rains?”
“There’s no ceiling or walls—will our existing system still work?”
…and more questions like these meant it took us a bit longer to develop…!
We hope you enjoy it.
We’ve added a variety of items that fit perfectly outdoors!
Of course, you can also use them indoors.
We can’t wait to see what kinds of outdoor spaces you’ll create—our dev team is excited too!
By nature, gogh often displays lots of furniture, images, and many avatars at once—so we’ve always faced the challenge that it can be “heavy for a productivity tool.”
We’ve been working on improvements continuously, and this update brings a major breakthrough!
By revisiting shaders and rendering for avatars and room items, and batching draw calls, we reduced the transfer cost from CPU to GPU.
As a result, when measuring in a nearly full Multiplayer Room with all avatars visible on screen:
The more items and avatars you have, the more you should feel the benefits of this optimization.
We’ll keep improving gogh to provide a more comfortable workspace!
Also included:
- Fixed an issue where the join/leave history wouldn’t display when the host re-entered the room
- Adjusted how tags are displayed in the Multiplayer Room list
One last thing: to celebrate this update, we’re running a 2-week sale starting today!
The base game, the Kuroda42 DLC, and the Hatsune Miku DLC (the Avatar & Room DLC) are all 30% off as well.
Don’t miss it!
