Meet Scratch

In Scratch The Cat, you play as Scratch, a rhythm-driven DJ cat on a mission to recover his stolen records. The culprit? None other than Snatch the Rat and his gang of gnarly goons. With your paws on the decks, you’ll groove through vibrant worlds and face off against bosses in high-energy, beat-fueled battles.

What to expect:

• Pure Platforming Vibes - A tribute to the golden age of 3D platformers, with a musical twist.
• Expressive Movement - Mix and chain together sick feline moves – run, jump, climb, swim, and dive your way through vibrant, colorful levels. And yes, you can fall from great heights (with cat-like grace, of course).
• Collect Record Fragments and Other Collectibles - Track down and recover Scratch’s irreplaceable record collection, one fragment at a time. Scattered across rhythm-infused worlds packed with puzzles, other collectibles, and quirky characters.
• Face Off Against Unique Bosses - Go paw-to-paw with Snatch’s sneaky squad, where every boss fight is a stage - and you’re the headliner. Each boss encounter blends platforming mastery with rhythm-inspired mechanics, keeping you on your toes! Outsmart Snatch’s gang with style and flair.
• Explore a Musical World - Explore a world built from the beat up — where music doesn’t just set the tone – it shapes the visuals, the gameplay, and the flow of every level. From pulsing traffic lights to head-bobbing turtles, every corner of Scratch’s world moves to the rhythm.
• Customize Your Groove - Express yourself fuuuur real with a variety of customization options for Scratch’s look to personalize your journey.
• Original Soundtrack - Feel the beat as you play – with a signature soundtrack created specifically for the world of Scratch.

We set out to create a platformer that feels like a mixtape: energetic, colorful, and full of surprises. Whether you're here for the tight controls or the catchy beats, we’re sure you’ll find something to love in Scratch’s world.

The game spun out from a student project made by Felix Sherar, our Creative Director:
