Management has authorized a significant update to the Shift At Midnight Demo in preparation for the upcoming Steam Next Fest.

We have expanded your job responsibilities. While "fun" is not a metric we typically track, we are legally required to inform you that these new systems are for your "mandated enjoyment" and that of your friends.

Review the changelog below. Ignorance of new protocols will not be accepted as an excuse for workplace accidents.

SYSTEM & LANGUAGE SUPPORT:

Multi-Language Support: The Shift At Midnight demo is now fully localized and playable in the following languages: English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, German, French, and Brazilian Portuguese.

Widescreen & Ultrawide Support: Full support for Widescreen and Ultrawide monitors has been added for a more immersive and expansive field of view.

UPDATED SHIFT PARAMETERS:

Expanded Jurisdiction (Gas Station): You are no longer confined to the interior. You are now required to fill gas tanks and search vehicles. Warning: Use discretion when determining if the driver is a Doppelganger.

Customer Variance: We have introduced a new pool of randomized customers to test your adaptability. (Note: Your first shift will always remain static for calibration purposes).

Vitals Monitoring: A new Health System has been implemented. Try to keep the red bar full. We do not offer health insurance.

Inventory Management: You now have pockets. Use them wisely.

Performance Reviews: You will now receive personalized store reviews based on your service quality. The customers are judging you.

MORALE & INCENTIVES:

Uniform Customization: Hats have been added to the dress code.

The "Spin Wheel": A game of chance has been installed in the break room.

Company Store: A randomized shop is now available via the terminal to purchase necessary supplies.

Decorations: You are permitted to decorate the store. Keep it tidy.

KNOWN ISSUES:

Management is aware of reports regarding rats roaming the store on Night 3. Please treat this as a standard sanitation exercise. Do not let them distract you from the shadows.

TECHNICAL UPDATES:

Shift Memory (Save Files): You no longer have to restart from scratch if you survive.

Your shift starts now. Download the update, report to the Next Fest page, and do not disappoint us.
