Main Features

  • A brand-new Coffee Bean System has been introduced, expanding the crafting system and allowing players to add additional buffs to their menu items.

  • New Boardgame Protective Items have been added, allowing players to shield their boardgames from wear during use.

  • Boardgames now feature visual effects, giving players the option to toggle them on and off if they have 6 boardgames of the same genre on the shelf.

  • The Codex has been added to the player UI, providing a central hub for tracking item discovery, lore entries, and progression.

  • The entire Inventory System has been fully refactored for improved stability, consistency, and future-proofing.

  • Controller Support has been implemented, making Dragon’s Brew playable with gamepads.

  • A Mini Seasonal Update has been added, bringing festive decorations and atmosphere into both towns for a limited time.

Demo Changes

  • The Mini Seasonal Update is now active in the demo.

  • Demo duration remains one in-game day, but time now moves at half speed, giving new players more breathing room to explore mechanics and characters.

  • The quest “Word on the Street” now requires 30 customers instead of 20.

Minor Features & Changes

  • Town and shop floor tilemaps have received another visual pass to improve detail, cohesiveness, and overall tone.

  • Replacing decor in the cafe or apartment now returns the previously placed item, making design changes fully reversible.

  • Sprinting is now a toggle instead of a hold for improved comfort.

  • Shop dialogue no longer obstructs the toolbar when browsing.

  • Opening the shop UI now pauses time, ensuring no in-world progress is lost while shopping.

  • Extended inventory panels and storage chests now include a Sort button to organise items by type.

  • Shift-clicking an item now quickly transfers it between active inventories and relevant slots.

  • Player animations have been further smoothed to reduce sprite snapping - with plans for a full resprite and reanimation pass in the future.

  • Customer and Town NPC colliders have been removed to improve pathing and prevent accidental blocking.

  • Quest hints have been removed from popup notifications for a cleaner presentation.

  • Item bounce feedback has been refined for snappier, more readable interactions.

Balancing

  • The purchase cost for the Red and Blue House Deeds has increased from 7,500 to 15,000.

  • The purchase cost for the Yellow and Green House Deeds has increased from 15,000 to 30,000.

Bug Fixes

  • The coffee machine’s collider width has been increased to prevent the player from becoming stuck.

  • Fixed an issue where closing the shop UI could sometimes leave time paused.

  • Resolved a bug where dead zones could obstruct inventory slots by tightening underlying logic and removing raycasting from tooltips and DM popups.

  • Fixed a rare issue where customer order popups failed to disappear after completion.

  • Fixed a bug causing tooltips to appear without complete item details.

  • Fixed an issue where world clocks would stop at 5pm.

  • Fixed a bug where boardgame effects could occasionally apply with incorrect values.

  • Fixed an issue where the quest menu would not reliably update progress.

  • Fixed a scaling bug where rapidly pressing the space bar on an item could increase its size.

  • Fixed an issue where the time penalty for passing out was not being applied.

Thank you for your continued feedback - your reports are helping to shape a stronger experience with every update.
