Howdy, partners!

Did you know that even before the first brick of a settlement could be laid, someone had to find the right place first?

On the frontier, that role belonged to the scout. Being a scout meant having a real and important role in society. They were often hired and sent ahead to look for resources, dangers, and to find optimal paths that the wagons could later follow.

The well-known Oregon Trail didn’t appear overnight. It was shaped over time by traders, trappers, and scouts who explored these lands, mapped viable paths, and gradually expanded knowledge of the western territories.

Your journey begins with building the Scouts’ Cabin. From there, you’ll be able to step beyond your town and explore the vast world of the Wild West. The distances are long, and every expedition takes time, so plan accordingly. No journey happens without preparation. Your Scouts will need supplies, so make sure to pack them well with canned goods before sending them out!Exploration is always a risk, but one worth taking.

Scouts may return with valuable resources, new information, or sometimes… nothing at all. That’s the nature of the frontier. Not every trip leads to a reward, but every journey brings you closer to understanding the land around you.

And when they do come back with something, it will be worth your while! Whether it’s a rich source of materials, a new trading opportunity, or a promising place for a future settlement.

Before you expand, you explore, partners! And we hope to see you explore the open frontier in Wild West Pioneers.
