Update 1.4 is Here – Experience Abby Like Never Before
This one’s big. We’ve gone back through every corner of the game and tightened, polished, optimized, and enhanced nearly everything.
⚙️ Major Performance Optimizations
- Upgraded from Unreal Engine 5.2 to 5.5 to take advantage of new performance enhancing features.
- Massive backend optimization pass for smoother performance across all systems
- Internal code improvements at all levels to support faster load times and better stability
- General framework refinement to improve runtime efficiency
🌄 Visual & Environmental Upgrades
- Landscape tessellation added giving a more natural and immersive looking terrain in the forest areas
- Brand-new lighting setups across nearly all maps for better clarity and atmosphere
- Updated certain level design elements to better communicate narrative and gameplay goals
- Introduced new props to make certain areas feel more alive and visually interesting
- Added additional music to enhance the mood in key areas
- General improvements and refinements to the Museum environment
🎮 UI & UX Enhancements
- Interaction UI fully reworked for better clarity and responsiveness
- Audio mix tweaks to sharpen environmental and interactive feedback
- Refined overall UX for a more intuitive and immersive experience
🐛 Bug Fixes & Tweaks
- Extensive bug fixes and minor issues resolved throughout the game
- Fixed issue where you could fall through the floor after visiting the Storyline on Chapter 8
- Fixed interaction lock after using the PC in Chapter 7
- Improved controller support and fixed multiple menu navigation issues
- Fixed lighting bleed between areas that caused incorrect color tinting
- Corrected various subtitle typos throughout the game
- Increased consistency in visual effects, triggers, and progression
- Smoothed some of the edge cases that could cause confusion or unintended player behavior
